Yellville’s Christmas on the Square returns for its fourth year Saturday, bringing an expanded lineup of holiday activities and the largest crowd organizers have planned for yet. What began as a small grassroots gathering has grown into a full community celebration expected to draw hundreds to the town square.

Activities begin at 2:30 that afternoon with the national anthem and color guard, followed by the parade at 5. Handicap parking and golf-cart shuttles will be available to ensure all residents can participate.

Volunteer Katie Ramsey was a recent guest on KTLO’s Talk of the Town and shares how the event has grown.

Stage performances will run throughout the afternoon, ranging from harp music and children’s choirs to local dancers and vocalists.

Christmas on the Square is organized by a nonprofit committee with help from dozens of volunteers, churches, banks and student groups. For more information about the event, volunteer opportunities or to donate visit their Facebook Page .
